I had some time to kill this afternoon in Warren County/Bowling Green,
so I took a little to me to bird late this afternoon.
 
At WKU woods, there was not much going on besides Robins, Towhees, and
Cardinals.  I did manage a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and Eastern Phoebe,
and a Barred Owl.
 
At Petros Pond, up to a dozen Wilson's Snipe that I had observed on
Monday were now gone as were the 2 Solitary Sandpipers.  The Blue-winged
Teal from Monday had been replaced by 2 Gadwall.  Also there on Tuesday,
were a pair of Pied-billed Grebes and a few Wilson's Snipe.
 
At Walton Staple Pond, about 20 Pectoral Sandpipers, 1 Lesser
Yellowlegs, and 1 Solitary Sandpiper were observed along with several
Barn Swallows and 5 Wild Turkeys.
 
When I arrived at Chaney Lake, real rain started, so I cut that short,
only managing about 20 Gadwall, 7 Northern Shovelers, and a single
Mallard drake.
