      There are windows of opportunities to kayak. This afternoon was one 
of them, i.e. sunshine, warm breezes,  daylight, and a weekend.  Hap 
Chambers and i paddled as far as we could go up a creek that feeds Blood 
River to find and hear the following.  The lake is up, and mudflats were 
scarce. We cut away and pulled out old fishing lines and hooks to prevent 
future hazards to birds, reptiles, and mammals.

Bald Eagle (1 adult and 1 juvenile)

Bonaparte's Gulls (heads are turning black)
Forester's Terns
Eastern Phoebe (2)
Red eyed Vireo
Fish Crow
Barn Swallow
Blue grey Gnatcatchers
Golden crown Kinglet (1)
N. Parula (2)
Pine Warbler (1)
Yellow throated Warbler (1)
