Hi All,
It has been very difficult for me and Les to keep up the pace for our 2
½ mile walk along the Tug Fork of the Big Sandy River for the past few
days. There are so many birds to see and hear that we have to interrupt
our concentration on walking and stop, look, and listen. Birds seen
there and in the yard: ORCHARD ORIOLE, PROTHONOTARY WARBLER, YELLOW
WARBLER, AMERICAN REDSTART, CERULEAN WARBLER, RT HUMMINGBIRD, CATBIRD,
PURPLE MARTINS, BARN SWALLOWS, ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS, YT VIREO, PILEATED
WP, RED-BELLIED WP, N FLICKER, TOWHEE, TREE SWALLOWS, BLUEBIRDS, BR
THRASHER, plus all the usuals.
Cheers, Joan of Art and Nature in Pike County, South Williamson
