Greetings from Lyon County. Highlights of our birthday bird-day included an
Eastern kingbird, snowy egret and prothonotary warbler at Kuttawa Springs. On
or near the dredge island at Old Kutttawa were two Am. white pelicans, hooded
merganser, Bonaparte's gulls, four Caspian terns, a little tern,
a plethora of cormorants, Northern Shoveler, lesser scaup. Barkley Dam - 6-8
black-crowned night herons. Green Road - three common goldeneye.
Northern parula are really coming in; still one junco here today. Happy
birding to all!
