Next month Beckham Bird Club is having its annual Birdathon. 

The following projects have been approved by the Beckham Bird Club Board of 
Directors for the 2003 Birdathon.

CONSERVATION ORGANIZATIONS: 
Kentucky Resources Council, Inc. - Funds to be used for general office needs 
to support and promote environmental laws;
Kentucky Lands Trust - Pine Mountain and Blanton Forest Funds to assist in 
purchasing land and providing an endowment for future stewardship; 
Kentucky Conservation Committee - Money to be use for lobbying environmental 
issues.

SPECIFIC REQUESTS FOR BIRD-RELATED PROJECTS
Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky - Located in Jefferson County - Raptor 
education program in Kentucky School Systems; 
Wingspan of Kentucky - Located in Oldham County - Bird of prey education 
programs; 
Louisville Nature Center - Fifty birdhouse building materials for the Second 
Annual Migratory Bird Festival

We hope you will consider a pledge this year.  You can give a set amount or 
per species (such as $.10, $.25, $.50, etc.) that we find.  We hope to 
observe or hear 100+   species of birds.  After the Birdathon we will give a 
report of the day and information about where to send your donation.
