I, too, have not had any towhees over the winter. However, today, near my feeder a male towhee was in a small tree. He sure was a pretty sight with the white snow background against the Virginia pines.
I've also been hearing the pine warblers around my yard for at least a week. They've been coming to suet feeders on my porch.
