Well the Sloughs is open again. Every year I look forward to it  
opening back up.
After beautiful weather all week; it went down hill today!  
Yesterday's high was 72º.
Weather today:
Heavy overcast, north wind, occasional mist and temperature 43º.

I visited 268 slough, Pond Creek Marsh, Gentle Pond, Wood Tract, and  
Hardy Slough.
On the north side of the road across from Wood Tract the water is  
almost gone.
FOS
Great Egret, I was really startled to see one flying over Pond Creek  
Marsh
Other than the Great Egret nothing really new.

The Bald Eagle nest south of Anderson Pond had an adult pair.
One sitting on the nest and the other in the tree.

Non-bird: One young beaver sitting on the Hardy Slough dike; I walked  
right up to it and I was ignored!
