The water level was up today. I spent part of the day watching birds enjoy
the changing season and habitat.
Purple Martins were skimming the water, mosquitos are already buzzing.
Green winged teal, Gadwall and gulls were loving the newly flooded mud flat.
The
Least Sandpipers (12) and Killdeer (36)are reduced to less habitat but their
numbers seemed about what they have been.
Other birds of note are:
Black vulture -2
Barred Owl -2
Carolina chickadee -6
Carolina Wren - 2
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 3
Eastern Bluebird - 2
American robin
Yellow-rumped Warbler - many
Pine Warbler
White-throated Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco

Hap
Murray, Ky
