Sloughs & Horseshoe Road slough
6:30AM to 1PM, 30º clear rising to 40º and mostly cloudy

Wood Tract:
Shovelers
Blue-winged Teal
Gadwalls
Greater Yellowlegs 10
unid peeps 3
Am. Pipit

Pond Creek Marsh
Wood Ducks
Mallards
Coots
Canada Geese 4
Green Winged Teal
Winter Wrens - pair singing to each other (I've never heard them  
singing before just calling.)
Carolina Wrens
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Golden-crowned Kinglets 5

Horseshoe Road slough
The Ohio River is back down.
(had to drive through some water on Horseshoe Road.)
spread out ducks, very skittish
2 unid peeps on the far side
Wilson's Snipe 15 further along the road

Gentle Pond

Barred Owls 2
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Pileated Woodpecker
Tree Swallows
Fox Sparrow
Field Sparrows
Swamp Sparrow
Song Sparrows
White-throated Sparrows

Bald Eagles: 4
a pair at each nest.  At the north nest one of the eagles broke off a  
branch nearby and brought it to the nest.
Then it looked like the two eagles rearranged some of the sticks.
Besides this activity it appeared that both nests held something kept  
the Eagles occupied.
