We made our usual Sunday afternoon run by Lake Peewee. It was filled with
boats, but it didn't seem to bother the Ruddies. We counted 546 plus Ruddy
Ducks and I believe that is more than last year. Some were in one of the bays,
but most were scattered across the middle of the lake. There were also two
Common Loons, a few Buffleheads, and a good number of American Coots. Swallows
( thousands) have been thick over the lake for over a week. They all appear to
be Tree Swallows.
