Marydale/Catholic Center
(4) Northern Shovelers (2 male, 2 female)
(2) Ring-necked Ducks (1 male, 1 female)
Pair of Cooper¹s Hawks
Camp Ernst Lake
(2) Red-breasted Mergansers (male)
Pied-billed Grebe
The Red-breasted Mergansers were absolutely stunning. The light
was horrible but they still showed magnificent colors.
There were tree swallows at Camp Ernst Lake on Wednesday but that¹s
the only time that I¹ve seen them this year.
This is the 3rd year that I¹ve seen a pair of Cooper¹s Hawks together this
time of year at Marydale. I assume that they are building a nest as one of
them was breaking off branches.
