[birdky] Bky: RPT: Bald Eagle Nest

We recently learned that a pair of Bald Eagles have built a new nest in Hopkins
County. We located their nest the day after we were told about it, but late
yesterday was our first successful attempt to "catch them at home." Both
adults were in a tree about 50 yards south of the nest and we were able to get
pictures. The nest is located at the back of a small grove of trees about 200
yards from heavily traveled Rose Creek Road and less than a mile's flight from
Lake Peewee. Their presence was mentioned in a neighborhood column in the
weekly Pennyrile Plus section of our local paper. I have been told that there
are a number of people stopping along the side of the road to look and we are
somewhat concerned about their safety and whether or not they will feel secure
enough to go ahead and use the nest.
