Beckham Bird Club's dinner meeting will be on Tuesday, March 14 at 
Masterson's Restaurant (1837 S. Third Street) in Louisville.  A social hour 
with cash 
bar will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by a buffet at 7:00 p.m. The price of the 
dinner is $22.00.  For more information go to our website at

form. 

This year's program will be a unique combination of live music and images of 
birds and nature presented by Bill Thompson III and Julie Zickefoose.  Bill is 
the editor of Bird Watcher's Digest and author of several books including 
Kentucky Bird Watching: A Year-Round Guide and Bird Watching for Dummies.  Bill 
has been a bird-watcher practically all his life.  His parents founded Bird 
Watcher's Digest in 1978 and he took over as editor 17 years ago. Julie 
Zickefoose is a widely published natural history writer and accomplished 
artist. 
Educated at Harvard University in biology and art, she worked for six years as 
a 
field biologist for The Nature Conservancy before turning to a freelance art 
career. Her paintings have been published in The New Yorker and Smithsonian and 
have graced the cover of many issues of Bird Watcher's Digest.  She is the 
author of The Bird-friendly Backyard: Natural Gardening for Birds and Enjoying 
Bluebirds More.  Bill and Julie and their two children live on an 80-acre farm 
in 
Whipple, Ohio where their home includes a 50-foot tall bird observation tower.
