I've been faithfully checking Marydale and Camp Ernst through much of the
winter.   This morning at Marydale I saw a Male Goldeneye, Pied-billed grebe
and a pair of Hooded Mergansers.   Most of the winter the lake was frozen so
this is the first good birds (outside of some Redhead Ducks a couple of
weeks ago) that I've seen there.

Camp Ernst for the most part has been disappointing this year.   Yesterday
there were only the resident ducks, some mallards, Canada geese, and 2
American Coots....as has been the case for the past few weeks.
