[birdky] Pelicans in Ballard county

While most of Ballard WMA is underwater there are still good birding
opportunities around the Mitchell Lake area. Birds of particular interest
today include:
American White Pelican 75
Tree swallow at least 2
Ruddy duck 1
Blue-w & Gr-w teal
Snow geese 150 + (mostly blue phase)
Canada geese
Shoveler
Gadwall
Bald Eagle 1

I saw the Pelicans on Mitchell Lake around 9:30 A.M. When I came back through
30 minutes later there were only a dozen or so left and a few circling to the
north. They were probably roosting there overnight. They may not stay in the
area.
