As reported earlier, at one point yesterday Amy and Roseanna and Julie
Denton and I got wonderful looks at the Yellow-billed Loon as it exited the
Girl Scout Camp bay south of the end of KY 962.  While I was fumbling with
my camera to prepare it to hook up to my scope, Roseanna was busy getting
off at least two shots of the bird, one of which Gary Ritchison has posted
at the KOS website at: <http://www.biology.eku.edu/KOS/ybloon.html>
Prepare yourself for a WONDERFUL shot of the bird . . . isn't digiscoping
great!  Would be curious if TN birders who studied the immature off Pace
Point agree that this certainly looks like it could be the same individual.
I have at least a couple of shots that compare the size of the bird to
Commons that were taken on Saturday that I'll get Gary to link to Roseanna's
shot tomorrow. I know NONE of mine are going to compare to this one of
Roseanna's, but maybe David Roemer can work some video/digiscoping magic
today. Way to go, Roseanna!!!
