Bill Case, (KOS member and my husband), is internal affairs officer at 
Northpoint Training Center, a state medium-security prison which borders 
Herrington Lake.  This morning at about 7:30, Warden Jim Morgan was making his 
customary drive around the perimeter of the property, on his way to the office 
from his home on the grounds, when he spotted a Bald Eagle perched on a limb at 
the water's edge.  He hurried back home for his camera and was able to get a 
snapshot of the bird.  Bill and I have both seen the photo and it sure does 
show a mature Bald Eagle!  Warden Morgan is very familiar with the birds, 
having frequented the Western Kentucky lakes while he was deputy warden at the 
Kentucky State Penitentiary at Eddyville.  He took Bill to see the bird, but it 
had left.  Bill says the location would be at about the Boyle-Mercer county 
line.
