?Bluebird Days ? Here Again!?

The Kentucky Bluebird Society and Lake Barkley State Resort Park announce the 
second annual ?Bluebird Weekend?, a special public event scheduled for April 
2-3, 2004.  ?Bluebird Weekend? will be based at Lake Barkley State Resort Park 
on scenic Lake Barkley in western Kentucky.  Many of our region?s top bluebird 
experts, including Darlene Sillick, Ohio Bluebird Society, Dr. Wayne Davis and 
others will be presenting special programs. The bluebird nesting season is 
beginning!  Please join us and see how you can help bluebirds and Kentucky?s 
school bluebird projects this nesting season.  

Scheduled Bluebird Weekend activities include guided hikes along bluebird 
trails to see bluebirds and nests while discussing how to help bluebirds.  
Bluebird Weekend also includes indoor presentations, both day and night, 
including a bluebird box building session, silent auction, program on bluebird 
banding, Carolina wrens and award winning school programs featuring the KBS 
Outdoor Classroom Enrichment Program and osprey projects.  This year?s event 
includes trips on Lake Barkley to see ospreys at their KY nests - weather 
permitting - by advance registration.  For osprey trip information and

The Bluebird Weekend event includes a ten dollar registration fee for adults to
