It sure was WINDY today. Twenty mile an hour SW winds whipping around the
lake sent the birds and this birdwatcher to the bays.
At Jonathan Creek Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs, Least Sandpipers and
Forster's Terns have returned in good numbers and were fighting the wind for
a bit of lunch.
On the main Lake Common Loon, Lesser Scaup, Goldeneye, Bufflehead were all
seen in good sized groups.
The two immature Tundra Swans were on the mud flat at Blood River once again.
I had not seen them during the week but they were resting peacefully today.
Pectoral Sandpipers, Least Sandpipers, Gadwall and Shovelers were also noted.
Good Birding and hold on to your hats.
