About 4:30 when I popped out the back door to feed our
6 bluebirds what is about the end of our two week
supply of 10,000 mealworms, I saw what I thought was
the local flock of geese flying south over our house.
Then I realized they sure didn't sound like geese. All
I got to see was about 25 of the tail end of the flock
so I don't really know how many there actually were.
This is the first time we have ever seen sandhills
flying that low.
Do you think they were trying to escape this terribly
cold, windy weather? Sure hope our next supply of
mealworms arrives as usual on Tuesday!!
