On my way back from some caving in Breckinridge County today, I swung through
the Sandhill Crane area west of Cecilia in Hardin County. There are now in
excess of 1000 Sandhills in the vicinity, although most were carpeting one
cornfield off Bethlehem Road, which somewhat parallels KY 86 out of the west
side of Cecilia. There were some birds visible from KY 86, too.
