[birdky] Photos from recent trip to New England

If anyone is interested,
I have placed a number of photos from a recent trip that Hap Chambers and I
took to New England. We had a great trip (birding from Long Island to southern
Maine), which weather shortened to 5 days of hard, but fantastic, birding. I
thought this up specifically for the Pink-footed and Barnacle Geese which were
being seen on Long Island, and the Slaty-backed Gull in Gloucester, MA. We got
all 3, and practically all of the other east coast winter specialties
(including Dovekie, Thick-billed Murre, 10 species of gulls, King Eider, and
Bohemian Waxwing in this major invasion year up east).
I have 2 pages of photos in this gallery, which is arranged chronologically,
not by species as I usually do. Several species have photos scattered
throughout the series. The gallery is here:
http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/new_england_trip_winter_08 , or the 1st photo
starts here: http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/image/92320859. If anyone fancies a
trip up there, all of the rarities are still being seen.
Good Birding!!
