For years, we have just had a couple of juncos in our backyard and then only
during the winter. Had a couple hang around all summer, but since the fall
months, we have noticed many more. I counted at least a dozen today at the
feeder and on the ground. We have also been "short" on Cardinals the past few
years, but today I counted 4 male and 3 females at one time. Sparrows, House
finches and goldfinches are down in number, unlike in past years. Also fewer
mourning doves. Do any of you experts have an explanation for these changes?
