Title: ckwma/woodcocks/ASK field trip
The Audubon Society of Kentucky (Lexington) had a field trip this evening at CKWMA near Richmond. We knew the weather might make things iffy--wind, clouds, cool. But it went very well, mainly b/c of one great woodcock (3 total). It flew high above us, over us, and landed near us several times. A wonderful display. We could get close enough to it so that a flashlight gave everyone a good view of it beeping and turning--nice color too. One person was able to take pictures.
