7AM to Noon, 40º, overcast, at 9AM strong N winds started blowing

Highlights: Bufflehead, Horned Grebe

I started out at Sloughs, Sauerheber Unit. & Woods Tract
Snow Geese have apparently departed
Tundra Swans have apparently departed
Mostly Mallards and Pintails about in equal numbers 100s
Am. Coots 15 spotted
Low numbers of Shovelers, Canada Geese, Am. Widgeon
(The stairs to Woods Tract obs. platform is still down.)

Anderson Pond
almost deserted
Just a few Mallards, Black Ducks.

268 Slough
Buffleheads 3
Mallards
Killdeer

Horseshoe Road slough
lots of ducks
mostly Mallards and Pintails,
White fronted Geese
Snow goose 1 (with the White fronted Geese)
Canadas (1 with orange neck collar)

Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake Unit
Field Sparrows
Song Sparrows
Wood Ducks
Ring-billed Gulls 3

Uniontown Dam on the Ohio (Union Co.)
Ring-billed Gulls 300
Ring-necked duck 1
Horned Grebe 1
(the Ring-necked duck & Horned Grebe were hanging around together)

Highland Creek Unit (Union Co.)
Turkey Vulture
Carolina Wren
Brown Creeper 3

Crenshaw Tract
Finally found all of the Ring-necked Ducks
lots of Wood Ducks
Dark-eyed Juncos
White-throated Sparrows
Cardinals by the bushel
Turkey 6 (between Highland Creek Unit & Crenshaw Tract)

268 slough (again)
Buffleheads 3 still present
Hooded Merganser 3

spotted a coyote in Highland Creek Unit woods
Frogs were singing at the impoundment at Highland Creek Unit
