Hi All,
There seem to be lots of EASTERN BLUEBIRDS around the area scouting out
nesting boxes/holes! Les saw at least 25 at the John's Creek golf course
yesterday (PLUS TEN ELK) and we saw several at his parents' house this
morning in Burnwell, KY which is about 5 miles from us. This morning
sounded like a full blown Spring morning because the air was filled with
singing birds: EASTERN TOWHEE, TITMICE, CARDINALS, MOURNING DOVES, GOLD
AND HOUSE FINCHES, C CHICKADEES, EASTERN PHOEBE, ETC. Plus the "noises"
of several woodpeckers: RED-BELLIED, PILEATED, FLICKER, DOWNY.
Another indicator of Spring: multitudes of crocuses blooming in the
yard!
Cheers, Joan Carr
