The following are a few highlights from today's birding in Gallatin, Boone, anc
Bracken Counties:
Snow Goose 4 blue phase birds above Meldahl Dam
Mergansers all three species seen above Meldahl Dam (Hooded 5,Common 8,
Red-br. 2)
Black Vulture 50 at Rabbit Hash
Bald Eagle 1 immature at Markland Dam and 1 immature at Petersburg
Ring-billed Gull 100 + at Markland Dam and Craig's Creek, 350 + at Meldahl Dam
Winter Wren 1 at Meldahl Dam
Fox Sparrow 3 at Craig's Creek boat ramp
Purple Finch 2 at Meldahl Dam
Wood Duck 1 at Camp Ernst Lake, 4 at Steele's Bottom, and 2 above Meldahl Dam
