Jury duty in the morning then off to do some birding on Tuesday (2/7).

30º clear 10:30am to 2pm.
a lot of the shallow water had ice but was melting by 2pm.

Highlights:

Sloughs Woods Tract
White-fronted Geese
Canada Geese
Snow Geese (both White & Blue phases) 1000's
Mallards
Pintails
Greenwing Teal
Shovelers


Anderson Pond
Ring-necked Ducks 100's
American Widgeons 20
Gadwalls

268 slough now fully flooded
Killdeer

Horseshoe Road slough now fully flooded
some ducks were there but it was too muddy to get close
in fact the Horseshoe Road was being graded by the county road dept.  
it was very muddy itself
(It was really strange: 136 was in terrible shape near the  Ohio  
River on the way to Horseshoe Road.
But the grading was being done only on Horseshoe Road which was not  
in bad shape and very rarely used.)
