[birdky] vesper sparrow?

I tried to identify a lone sparrow yesterday that was skulking along the
ground with some white-throated sparrows. It didn't stay long and didn't
appear to be interested in the sunflower seed I had put out. It looked
more like a vesper than a song sparrow, but I'm wondering how likely
this is? The birds were in a brushy field in rural Boyle County.
