Waterfowl numbers have decreased sharply on the viewable portion of BWMA. A
few of the species observed this morning around Ballard/McCracken counties
include:
Wht-fr goose - 12
Snow goose - 50
Canada goose - 125
Wood duck - 2
Gadwall - 40
Mallard - 50
Shoveler - 1
Ring-n duck - 3
Hooded Merg - 12 (4 pairs and two females)
Black vulture - 2
Bald eagle - 2
Red-headed woodpecker - 1 (1st for me this year)
