[birdky] cranes on the move

it's been an odd season for the sandhills. this afternoon about 4:30 i got out
of my car at the mailbox and heard them calling. after scanning for a minute, i
saw three large well-defined V's totalling about 300 birds. they were flying
north at a fairly high altitude and didn't show any indication of stopping or
lingering.
