We couldn't resist a trip down to the gorge this weekend, even with the 
knowledge that it was a bit early for many species. We did find 3 Red-breasted 
Nuthatches, 1 Brown Creeper and 1 Golden-crowned Kinglet at Rock Bridge on 
Saturday but precious little else on Sunday (3 Black Vultures along Tunnel 
Ridge 
Rd.). Highlights of the trip include 9 S. Flying Squirrels at the Natural 
Bridge 
SP lodge feeders on Sat. night and 35 Wilson's Snipe in a low swale area at 
Canewood in Clark Co. during the return trip on Sunday.
