The previously reported gull species were again
present in the tailwater area below Kentucky Dam
today.  Birds observed include:

Great Black-backed Gull  same 1st yr. bird   photos
Glaucous Gull  1st yr.
Lesser Black-backed Gull  2 adults
Thayer's Gull  1st yr.  photos

I also observed and photographed the previously
reported pale 1st yr. Thayer's/Iceland type bird
today.  I believe the bird is a Kumlien's Iceland
Gull.  Research may eventually prove Kumlien's to be
an intergrade between Thayer's and Iceland.

A White-winged Scoter was present above the dam.
