Groundhog Day/2004
Early spring? It doesn't appear that my resident groundhog will see his
shadow today. Cloudy
with drizzling light rain.
Saw my first Sandhills of this migratory season, 2003/2004 yesterday.There
were 30 that flew over
Short Creek, NW Grayson Co in the afternoon . Heading was north and they
were silent .
They just happened to pass through my field of vision.
Some years we have many, many flocks pass over this area, both southbound
and northbound.
