Yesterday(2-22-03) mid-afternoon at Old Historic Falls of Rough,Ky
I saw a flock of Sandhill Cranes and Wild Turkeys grazing together between
rows of corn stubble in a field just south of the store and
the old mansion.I didn't know they did that but in the kind of weather
conditions that have prevailed for the past week, food is food I guess.
In the same area was a huge flock of sparrows which I had a hard time
identifying due to the fact it was raining through the open window on that
side of the truck.Saw one with a solid rufous crown, several with black and
white stripes on the head, and was able to identify one Song Sparrow. Joyce
