[birdky] RPT: Casual birding

February 19, 2003:
I spent a few minutes birding on breaks today. The following birds of
possible interest were observed.
Lake Herndon, Logan County (Boy Scout Lake)
4 Pied-billed Grebes
2 Belted Kingfishers
1 Golden-crowned Kinglet
Barren River Reservoir, Allen or Barren County
6 Canada Geese
4 Gadwall
5 Lesser Scaup
8 Common Goldeneyes
11 Red-breasted Mergansers
35 Ring-billed Gulls
I was on a lets kill a lunch hour at Barren River and a quick stop at Lake
Herndon. I easily could have missed more than I saw.
I also noted 6 Wild Turkeys within the eastern edge of Russellville when
returning home.
That concludes this report.
