Somerset isn't the only part of the state with a big blackbird flock. Each 
morning since the 9th of this month about 1.2 jillion blackbirds pass this way, 
coming generally from the south. I think they must go home in the afternoon by 
another route, unless a different 1.2 jillion is passing each successive 
morning.
  Just saw a Brown Thrasher scratching around in the front yard while writing 
this.
