While eating supper this evening, I heard the
unmistakable sound of Sandhill Cranes. From our
kitchen window I was able to see about 25 cranes
flying in a WSW direction. They appeared to be
circling towards a landing, perhaps in the field
just east of US31 in the refuge. This was just about
6pm. I was unable to see any of them along US31 or
CR275 E twenty minutes later.
