Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008: A solitary pine siskin showed up at the
feeders this morning while I was counting birds for Project Feeder
Watch. This is our first siskin in 5 winters here in Rowan County.
This has been a good year for house finches at the feeder. Earlier this
fall, there were 33 house finches at the feeder at one time.
