For the last couple of days, I have "checked" local water holes and similar
places.  Today, the Crop Production Services Pond in Russellville yielded
~50 Canada Geese.  Other locations produced nothing.

On 24 January, Petros Pond(s) (including the farm pond on the north side of
US 68 and east of the "Petros Pond", hosted ~50 Canada Geese, ~10 Mallards,
and 1 male Northern Pintail.  The black and white goose-duck-thing reported
in past years was there and now has 2 buddies of similar description.  I
assume the 3 represent "hybrids" of domestic ducks/geese with wild birds,
but I cannot confirm this.

On 22 January, in central Logan County, 4 Ring-billed Gulls were observed at
a transient pond just south to the junction of Ellis Road and US 431.  This
gull count, while not incredible, does represent my life high total count
for the species within the boundaries of Logan County.
