Melissa and I made a trek to Fulton County Saturday afternoon to watch the
geese at Long Point.
We stopped to check the Eagles nest on the levee. One Adult eagle was
perched nearby.
There are not as many geese as in previous years but we did observe over
1,000 snow geese a few Ross's geese and about 300 Greater White Fronted Geese.
Other birds of note were:
Bald Eagles - we had a total of 5
American Wigeon
Green-winged Teal
Gadwall
Northern Shoveler
At Blood River the following birds have been observed recently:
Bald Eagle - 2
Bonaparte's Gull - many
Least Sandpiper - 10
Northern Pintail - 4
Green winged Teal
Gadwall
