I just returned from attempting to get a better count of the vultures at the
roost at Frankfort after work. My timing and estimates are improving, but
I've still got a little ways to go to get an accurate count. When I
arrived, there were about 250 birds already in the trees, and well more than
1/2 appeared to be Turkeys. However, probably 90% of the birds that came in
after I arrived were Blacks and my total count was 653, so there are
something in excess of 400 Black Vultures!
