The one upside of my neighbor's decision to bulldoze his portion of the wooded 
fencerow separating our farms is we now have a broad view of a lot of 
countryside on our afternoon walks. Yesterday, in this new panorama, we saw a 
Coyote being pursued by 2 dogs. As the chase unfolded, we kept hearing a Coyote 
howling. Knowing this couldn't be the Coyote being chased, we scanned around 
and spotted a Coyote sitting on a hilltop, where it could also see the chase. 
It was interesting to see it arch its head back and then hear the howl a couple 
of seconds later. 
  The chased Coyote entered a woods, then reappeared a minute or so later and 
doubled back the way it had come. By now the dogs were far behind. It rejoined 
the Coyote on the hilltop and they trotted off together.
