Hello Everyone:
The registration form for the upcoming Southeast Partners in Flight meeting
is now available on the meeting website: www.agfc.com/sepif The early
registration date is February 13th, and only early registrants will receive
a great-looking sweatshirt with the Ivory-billed Woodpecker on it (bribe
bribe!)
The meeting this year will include a steering committee meeting on
Wednesday, March 1st, with the regular meeting occurring on Thursday and
Friday (the 2nd and 3rd). There will be sessions on the rediscovery of the
Ivory-billed Woodpecker and its relationship to ongoing bird conservation
and management in the Southeast US, and a session on the Farm Bill with some
input from our friends with the Southeast Quail Study Group, as well as two
other sessions. As usual, there are also going to be oral paper
presentations (call for papers will be posted in the next day or two) and a
poster session/social/ Silent Auction benefitting Optics for the Tropics
(bring an item!!) on Thursday evening. More information on the agenda
will be added to the website in the coming days.
Field trips will occur on Saturday after the meeting with some great
including for St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, Wakulla Springs State
Park, kayaking on the Wakulla River, and a trip to the Wade Tract Preserve,
a 200-acre longleaf research plot managed by the Tall Timbers Research
Station.

listserv.
