[birdky] Spotted towhee and shorebirds

So far 2004 has been a very good year. The Spotted Towhee was elusive this
morning but I had several good looks at 8am. Matt Stickel arrived as the
towhee chose to move back into the wooded lot. We could hear it calling but
did
not relocated it.
A House wren made an appearance and we had Tree, Song, Swamp, Field and
Chipping Sparrows across the road.
On the way home I stopped at Jonathan Creek for a quick scan of the mud flat.
Three Dunlin were another treat of the day along with 17 Least Sandpipers, 4
Forster's Terns, 2 Black Ducks and oodles of Bonaparte's Gulls.
Now a little Hoppin' John and greens will keep the luck flowing!
Happy New Year to all.
