A very cold day by the Ohio River!
There were about a dozen Horned Larks and several American Pipits foraging in
the snowy bean fields--this is the largest concentration of these birds I've
seen in Eastern Kentucky (maybe Lewis County is considered Northern Kentucky?).
Other interesting birds:
Northern Harrier
Red-tailed Hawk
White-throated, Song, Swamp and Field Sparrows
Green-winged Teal
Gerald H. Robe
