1 1/2 inches measured this morning at Short Creek in Grayson Co.
May have been a little settling overnight but not much as it was a very dry 
fluffy snow. Beautiful 3/4 moon at 2:30 AM today. Low temp was 8
degrees. Metropolitan Short Creek sits in a bowl on a stream,and the 
temperature drops lower here than in surrounding area except for Tousey, Ky.

A few years ago(I have the dates recorded somewhere) I woke up cold
in the early hrs of the morning, looked at the temperature gauge and
it read -29.I turned on the radio which was giving the temperature
in Chicago as -18 with the Minneapolis/St Paul reading at -24. That
morning Tousey reading was -31. Jlp
