An update to the KOS publication, an "Annotated Checklist of the Birds of
Kentucky" (1988) by Burt Monroe, Jr., Anne Stamm, and Brainard Palmer-Ball,
Jr. is at the printer and will be available within in a few weeks.  The
Checklist's 2nd edition will be available for $10.00 (taxes included) plus
$2.00 shipping/handling if you have a copy mailed to you.  

For those renewing KOS memberships who wish to purchase the book through the
mail, you can add $12.00 for each book to your renewal check, but if you do
this, please make it clear for our Treasurer, Jim Williams, that you are
doing so. 

Of course, anyone else (including KOS Life Members, those who have already
renewed their memberships for 2003, or non-members, are also encouraged to
order copies of the Checklist.  Orders should be sent to:

Again, the book is still at the printer, so it will be a few weeks before
they are delivered, but orders accompanying dues renewals and others are
welcomed.  For those willing to wait for a meeting or field trip, they
should be available at the February Beckham Bird Club meeting in Louisville
(February 11th -- see http://www.beckhambirdclub.org/  ), the February 1,
2003, KOS/BBC field trip to Peabody WMA, and other future events.
