Connie Neeley and I went out last night to try some different roads for
saw-whet owls at Little Lick. First, we decided to go to the Ano Strip
Mines and look for a Merlin she and Wendell had seen there on Sunday. We
found the MERLIN in just a few minutes and while we were watching it a
second Merlin flew in! Each stayed for long looks through the scope. 3
NORTHERN HARRIERS were seen working the fields. Back at Little Lick we
weren't so successful; an EASTERN SCREECH-OWL and an unknown were all we
could get an answer from.
