Approximately a dozen American White Pelicans were huddled in the middle of
Lake Barkley (observed from the Old Silo Overlook) this
morning. Temperatures were in the teens.
Other highlights in Land Between the Lakes were:
Brown Creeper 2
Winter Wren
Barred Owl
Screech Owl (fresh roadkill)
Bald Eagle 3 immature
Gadwalls, Buffleheads
Red-headed Woodpeckers continue to be numerous.
Bonaparte's Gulls were confusing. Some darker than others??
A cedar tree of House Sparrows ( I thought with the chatter it was Pine
Siskin)
Never saw a Great Blue!!
